I am delighted to have found this website!  I am a big fan of Barney Combes.  I have had his book Apostles Today in my library for years.  I especially appreciate his biblical stand one women apsotles and women in church government.  As one who hold an apostolic anointing myself, and as an African-American, I am finding it increasingly difficult to direct our community back to orthodox biblical standards.  Rarely can I find anyone who is in apostolic ministry to support me on biblical standards of government and manhood.  Needless to say, my wife and I have lost many friends in ministry because of our tenacious stand on the doctrinal principles of God's word, refusing to bow to the pressures of peers and favortism.  Again, we thank Rev. Coombs for his straightforward and honest approach to biblical theology and exegesis, and please keep us and our church in Oklahoma, USA in prayer!

I read Barney's article about the Postmodern Theology of Brian McLaren in "A New Kind of Christian" and "The Story we find ourselves in"

Barney is an excellent thinker. I enjoyed reading his insights into these writings. His approach is wise, firm and straight, everything a man of God should be when it comes to defending the faith from false doctrines seeking to hide itself in the cloak of Truth.
